The Buttery Private rehab program may be able to assist individuals facing drug and/or alcohol-related criminal charges, or those in custody who are on remand.
Participation in the program is subject to the completion of a successful assessment by a registered psychologist. It may not be suitable for all clients who are on remand or facing charges.
Unlike many other rehabs, clients facing charges or on remand may join the program (subject to psychological assessment).
Phone assessment may be carried out even if a client is incarcerated and awaiting bail.
The assessment by a registered psychologist can be used to provide documentation confirming admission to the program. This may be used by defence solicitors for bail applications if the client is accepted into the program.
Completion of appropriate treatment may be regarded favourably by a court.
Because The Buttery Private program is fully-evidence–based it can assist participants in achieving successful, long-term outcomes.
The program is modelled on the long-term and highly successful rehab program conducted by The Buttery, which was established in 1973. The Buttery participates in the Magistrates Early Release Into Treatment (MERIT) Program.
As a social enterprise, surplus funds generated are applied to The Buttery’s charitable work throughout North Eastern and Mid-Coast NSW.
Criminal defence lawyers are invited to contact The Buttery Private for confidential advice about their clients.
